If you have installed larger tires on your rig then a matching spare tire is a must. The problem comes when you try to bolt that new monster tire/wheel combo on your factory spare tire mount. Rugged Ridge has the answer with the HD Tire Carrier. The HD Tire Carrier is constructed of heavy 1/4” steel plate and mounts to the tailgate. The tire is relocated two inches up and out from the old mount for larger tire clearance (Maximum tire size=35”). The HD Tire Carrier features 5x4.5” and 5x5.5” wheel bolt patterns and tough powder coated black textured finish.
